Dr Kotsapas RB

Dr Constantinos Kotsapas MBBS MRCPCH MSc in Allergy
Paediatric  Consultant Allergist
Leeds Children’s Hospital

Dr Constantinos Kotsapas is a Paediatric Consultant Allergist working at the Leeds Children’s Hospital. He is also President of the Royal Society of Medicine Clinical Immunology & Allergy Section and has been the Scientific Co-Lead for the British Society of Clinical Immunology & Allergy Conference Planning Committee, since October 2024.

Dr Kotsapas graduated from University College London in 2009 and completed paediatric training at London School of Paediatrics. His rotations included Paediatric Allergy at the renowned centres in Evelina and St Mary’s Hospitals, as well as Infectious Diseases at Imperial, and Bone Marrow Transplant & Immunology at Great Ormond Street, where he received the award of Best Junior Doctor of the Year in the division of Infection, Cancer, Immunity and Medicine. Upon completing his training in 2019, he was appointed a locum consultant Paediatric Allergist post at St Mary’s Hospital in Imperial College. In June 2021, he secured a permanent position at Leeds Children’s Hospital where he continues to work as a tertiary paediatric allergist.

Dr Kotsapas also completed the Allergy MSc at Imperial College with distinction in 2021 and published his research on the early-life predictors and risk factors of peanut allergy in 2022. Since graduating from the MSc, he has been invited to teach yearly on the course. In the past five years, he has delivered presentations at numerous regional and national meetings and chaired international conferences. His main areas of interest are on the recognition and management of anaphylaxis, diagnosis and management of food allergy, and food protein induced enterocolitis syndrome, drug allergy, and paediatric mastocytosis.
