An Introduction to Managing the Menopause

Event Description

Empower your practice and improve patient outcomes by joining our upcoming webinar tailored specifically for General Practitioners, Nurse Practitioners, Practice Nurses and Physician Associates. As the primary point of contact for the over 13 million peri- and post-menopausal women in the UK, primary care clinicians play a pivotal role in delivering evidence-based, individualised care.
This introductory session provides a comprehensive foundation in menopause management, aligned with the latest NICE guidelines and British Menopause Society (BMS) standards. Whether you are a seasoned practitioner or new to women’s health, this webinar will equip you with the clinical confidence to navigate complex consultations.

Key Learning Objectives:

  • Identification & Diagnosis: Recognising the diverse range of vasomotor, psychological, and genitourinary symptoms.
  • HRT Essentials: Understanding the benefits, risks, and practical prescribing of various hormonal therapies.
  • Holistic Alternatives: Exploring non-hormonal treatments, lifestyle medicine, and the role of CBT.
  • Specialist Cases: Brief overview of Premature Ovarian Insufficiency (POI) and managing unscheduled bleeding.

By the end of this session, you will be better prepared to support your patients through this significant life transition with empathy and clinical expertise.
