Each day 15% of the population suffers from a headache. Approximately 10 million people live with migraine in the UK, 3 million workdays are lost every year due to migraine-related absenteeism costing almost £4.4 billion.
Most headaches are self limiting, however headaches can be a sign of a serious underlying medical problem. Dr Lily will present on diagnosing the causes of headaches. He will also present on the investigation and management ff headaches. He will discuss how not to miss serious underlying causes of headaches.

Dr Oliver Lily BSc MBChB MD FRCP

Dr Lily graduated in medicine from Leeds University. He also completed a first-class degree in pharmacology, including studying the effects of medications on the brain. He trained as a junior doctor at St James’s Hospital and Leeds General Infirmary before researching the causes of multiple sclerosis at the Institute of Molecular Medicine at Oxford University.
He has worked in Leeds for more than 20 years. He sees patients with headaches, seizures, blackouts, weakness, tingling, nerve pain and visual problems.
He specialises in the diagnosis and treatment of Multiple Sclerosis. He also treats patients with undiagnosed, misdiagnosed, complex or medically unexplained conditions.
